1. Make Your Blog Look Nice:
Imagine you entered accidentally to a site and the site looks like a dog’s dinner, will you be impressed with it? Who likes to read article on green page? A blog’s attractive design always hold the visitors for sometime so it is always better to invest on themes and designs that look attractive.
2. Make Your Title Interesting:
Your title should be eye-catchy, understandable and must tell something about your post. Remember that when unknown visitors visit your site the first thing they will look is either your blog or the title, But the question that comes to my mind is does title plays important role in search engine ranking?
The keyword which is catchy is generally not typed in search engines. So catchy titles will not give you traffic from search engine, a solution to this is to write seo analyzed title tags. This tags helps your search engine rankings.
3. Blogging For Purpose:
The blog you started must have a purpose behind it, the content you provided must be informative. If you are only trying to fill the spaces on your blog without focusing on what your target audience wants then you decrease the value of your blog. You must not just blog for blogging sake but must have a great reason for blogging, so many bloggers just post for posting sake, this is not supposed to be, you should always be able to provide useful and helpful posts on your blog.

According to me lack of consistency is the most common weakness of the unsuccessful blogs, let me explain this to you with an example. If one person builds 100 backlinks and do other seo techniques in one day and then do nothing for next 10 days while another person makes 10 backlinks/per day and do other seo techniques on a regular basis. Whom do you think is better? According to Google search engine, the second person deserves better output and will get high ranks.
Consistency is required in writing blog posts, building backlinks, article submission and in everything.
5. Promote Your Article:
This is the most important step for beginners. Most of the time, I have seen it written that content is king and I would disagree, Content is queen and marketing is king.
What is the use of quality content posted on your blog if nobody visits your blog? Who will read that post? So it is important to focus on both quality content as well as its promotion. It is also very important to use various methods to promote your blog, you should not just rely on one source for traffic.
6. Keep Learning:
We live in a lovely world which keeps on changing, in fact, the internet world changes faster than that. The tools you are using changes, always a better version seems to be available.
You should not feel like learning is a burden on you, in fact, you should make it something always welcomed by you. It is important as it keeps you tuned with trends and development in the world of blogging. It is the only thing that will make you ahead of others.

All good points. Especially the first one. Lots of people think their site needs to be flashy. It doesn’t. In fact, often the simplest sites look the best. It just needs to not be ugly!
As for #6, that’s good for beginners and experts. The moment you stop learning is the moment when you won’t have anything interesting to blog about anymore!
