One thing that bothers newbies most is doubting the possibility of making money online. Many of them think making money online is only for a class of people, they think making money online is for those who already have some money to spend somewhere.
Even though having some cash at hand might help, you don’t necessarily need to have a fortune to make it online.
This might not be what you want to hear, making money online is so easy that almost anybody can make money online, the only thing you need to do is act wisely and listen to someone who knows what he is saying. This post will be based on how I make money online.
Fix Some Things
If I had known this earlier, I would have made more money online now and even earlier, but the sad truth is, “some things are wrong somewhere” and if they are not fixed, you should rule out every opportunity of you making money online.
One of these things is your ego, yeah! your ego. Many people are so proud and full of ego to the extent of not being able to learn and listen from others. They will come across a lot of great advice here and then only to say “I already know this”.
The online world is so dynamic and different from the offline world and I can tell you going to school is NEVER a guarantee of you making money online.
Another great thing to fix is your mindset, you have to clear all doubts and believe in yourself. It will be very funny of you to be doing something you don’t believe in. If you believe you can make money online and you are doing the right things at the right time then you will begin to make money online soon.
Another thing you have to fix is your comfort, you sometimes have to leave your comfort zone. Even though the 4-hour-workweek is possible, I must tell you there will be a 40-hour-workweek if you are the average guy who is not ready to spend a fortune making money online.
The Basics Work!
Many people are waiting for some guru of some sort to come and preach to them or teach them a special formula on how to make money online. I am not afraid to say this, you are not serious if you haven’t implemented what you know and you are then waiting for another magic formula…which does not even exist (anyway).
You have being hearing what we call “the basics” such as you have to give value to make money online e.t.c. It might not be what you like but it works. You should not expect any formula until you have implemented what you want.
A Blog is not Necessary but is Recommended
The majority of my blogging income does not come from my blog (because I am not even monetizing it 
), it comes from my list.
It is true blogs help you get better results but it is not the ultimate, having a blog might be one of the most difficult thing to venture into when trying to make money online.
A blog really works but one thing you will notice in common among blogs is that it takes REAL TIME except for some rare exceptions to make your blog a success.
When you have a blog, you will have to work so hard and long to build a name, reputation and overall success for your blog.
If you spend that effort on something less than a blog then you can be making a fortune before you dream about it, I know you might be surprised about this, but it truly works.
If I get the number of visitors i get to my blog to a squeeze page then I will be making over 20x what I am making now.
Just think about this, you set up a nice squeeze page and you make hundred comments and 2 guest posts each week promoting the blog, the end result will be adding over 100 people to your list which is worth its value in gold.
You MUST Have a Back-end
I know you have so many assumptions or you might have some worries about what it means to have a back-end, but what I simply mean is your mailing list.
Your list should be your back-end because it is yours for ever and that is where the real income will come.
Many people ignore the experts advice and believe there is no point in having a mailing list – Yes! There is no point in having a mailing list to those who are not ready to make money online, but to you the wise blogger who does not have a fortune to spend, there is a point, in fact, there are million points in having a mailing list.
The experts say, the money is in the list, I never realized the power of this until I started making money off mine.
It is as important to nourish your back-end just as it is important to have one!
Many people think it is all about building a list. No! You are wrong! There is more to it than that!
You will easily make sales off your list if your readers trust you. I am subscribed to a lot of lists and anytime I read a mail from Brian Terry, I am more inclined to open it than any marketer, the same thing goes for Ben Settle (this guy is top-notch and my most cherished internet copywriter)… Why? These two people don’t play with their list, they send real mails and they provide real value.
It is not all about making money from your list, it is far more to it than that – Nourish your list.
Making money online is very easy and the above process is how I make my money online, I should tell you that I don’t have a giant list (even though I will soon have that 
) and that this formula can work for absolutely anybody, in fact, it can work for a nobody from nowhere so you should take your time and follow the above points and I can assure you are making money online in no time.

All you need is to buy a domain name (can cost about $8), hosting (about $80), and some time, and you’re ready to start building up your business and eventually earn some money online.
If you can give up a couple of trips to McDonalds, Starbucks, or where-ever you go and spend some money, you’ll be able to double your current income in no time.

Its your choice to spend money or not for SEO, web development and graphic design. If you don’t have the knowledge to do this stuff, you always have the option to outsource to countries that provides excellent service at a fraction of the cost. However it is not necessary to spend thousand of dollars if you can actually find freebies that could compensate things you are lacking.

Just like most education, the more you invest in it the greater output. This doesn’t mean that you have to spend money but think like a hacker (old meaning) – instead of trying everything new, take what’s already built, break it down and make it even better.
You already have a great foundation online, you just need to give yourself the little edge that will put you out front.

Thanks for sharing this Oni. I agree with you on this, we need to invest something in order to gain more. Just like an offline business, you need to have a budget for investment for you to grow your business more.
In online business, it’s the same thing, especially in outsourcing some of our projects or hiring people to do the job for us, the concept of “invest $1 to earn $2″.
