I Know what I am Doing, Do You?

I know what i am doingYou might be a little bit worried about the title of this post but it has a great message to pass across.

My younger brother was trying to wake my 8-year-old sister, being a heavy sleeper; she is still not up after several attempts. My brother put in a little more effort just to hear her say, “I know what I am doing”.

This might be funny to some of you but I have a great message for you here.

Immediately my sister said that, I told her to shut up and asked her how she could know what she is doing while sleeping. While I was trying to sleep, I thought and I said, yes, she truly knows what she is doing just as I know what I am doing. The sad truth is, “I might not know what she is doing, but she knows”, others don’t need to know what you are doing, you should be the one to know it.

For How Long?

For how long will you keep thinking about how people have said you can never make it? For how long will you continue to wonder in the present state you are?

The reason why many people are disturbing you or trying to get you to their side, the reason why many think you are stupid is because they don’t know what you are doing.

It might be a little discouraging when even the people you think care for you most are those who don’t even care about your dreams, your goals and your future. They might think they care, but they don’t know your future, it is only you who knows your future.

If you believe your future is to make money online and be a full-time blogger and your parents and family believe your future is to go to school and be a lawyer or doctor, it is not their fault – because they don’t know what you are doing.

Prove it to them!

Yeah! Since they don’t know what you are doing, why not prove it to them? It would NEVER be advisable to try to convince them to your side; it would NEVER be advisable to begin to preach to them about your goals because there is better a way to prove it to them… a far better way than talking… this is your result.

The truth is this people are not to blame since they think they care and you also think you are doing your best. They have seen a lot of people do what they are advising you to do succeed but they have rarely seen anybody do what you are doing succeed; why not prove it with your life?

It takes more than words to prove it, it is not just by you saying, “I will prove it”, it is far more than that. If you truly want to prove it, then it is a do or die game.

If you take a keen look at your blog (or online business), is it the way things are that it will be in the next 3 months or will there be a major improvement or achievement that will skyrocket your online income and will make those who have looked down on you to begin to respect you? If your blog will not have something to prove your reason for blogging in the next 6 months then you should definitely RETHINK. You should better save yourself from shame NOW (and I mean NOW).

One of the worst things I hate most in my life is to be hearing people tell me, “I told you”, “Had you listened to me” e.t.c. I hate words like that with my life.

How would you then prove it?

Yeah! This is the great question. It is very important to believe in yourself first. If you don’t believe in yourself, then you are a failure already.

If you believe in yourself then you have overcome the major blogging problem and the next thing to do is work hard. You need to work hard!

If it is working for 10 hours a day that will make me achieve my dreams, then why won’t I do it?

The truth is, many of us are not taking our online business serious and that is why we are not getting results.

Imagine you have been sacked from the only job your life depends on and you tried to get another to no avail, the next thing to do is move online, will you be blogging how you are now or you will put in more efforts?

In order to prove it, you have to work as if you have no backup plan; you have to work as if your life depends on it.

I know I am presently not living the internet lifestyle because it is presently not for me. In order to effectively live the internet lifestyle, you have to invest in your future – I mean you have to invest your efforts and time.

It takes hardwork to make it online and that is the simple truth many people don’t realize. If you are not ready to work hard then I don’t think there is anything there for you.

You simply hear people talk about the 4-hour work week, I really love and respect these people but the truth they would not tell you is that you must have a 10-hour (a 20-hour or even more) work week before you can ever have the 4-hour work week.

I know what I am doing, others might not know it and I am ready to prove it to them. Do you know what you are doing?

    Awesome post Oni!
You’re so right, if you give a half-hearted effort, you’re only going to be left with half-hearted results.

People always said I was wasting my time, and should just get a “real job” but now look where I’m at.

    • Hi CJ,

      Yeah, exactly!

People don’t know what you are doing, it is only you who know it, and the more you prove it to them, the more of a winner you are :)

Thanks a lot for the nice comment,

  2. Another Motivational Post by Onibalusi!

Onibalusi, great motivation you provide there for all of us.

I salute you for your efforts, and thank you for providing constant motivation (have you though of blogging on the personal development/motivation niche? You are REALLY good at this!!)

What you say, happens to all of us. Peopl say to us ‘let him have his little fun on the computer’….. well Oni, let’s prove and show it to them that they were wrong.

    Nabeel

    • Exactly Nabeel,

Thanks so much for your nice comments.

After writing this post, I am thinking I will have to go into the personal development niche and make posts like this for that niche.

      What do you think?

      Thanks a lot,
      -Onibalusi

      • Hi Onibalusi,

I think you should definitely have a look at the personal development/motivation niche, besides the MMO niche.

I think you are very good at it. You really have that motivation in you, and you can really motivate people. And I find it interesting to read your motivational posts.

I think People really like personal development posts.

It won’t be hard for you, as you are already really ahead and good at blogging. So I say start a motivation blog too!

        Nabeel

        • That is great Nabeel, and I will be giving it a trial very soon.

          Thanks a lot,
          -Onibalusi

  3. KinectFree says:

I agree with Nabeel, you could easily cover the personal development niche. Thanks for the inspiration!

    • Hi Josiah,

That will really be great :) I will be going into that niche very soon.

      Thanks a lot,
      -Onibalusi

  4. Melinda says:

Cute story! I have to agree..you need to be a motivational speaker.

Never let anyone say you can’t do anything when you know you can do. :) Success comes from hard work and I think some just aren’t willing to put in 100%. You get out of life, relationships, and business what you put into it.

    • Hi Melinda,

Yeah! Exactly! Success only comes from hardwork and many people are not ready to work hard.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment,
      -Onibalusi

  5. Absolutely well written . I liked the introduction and i feel it made me interested in reading the rest of the post .

  6. Alan says:

    Great article!
I’d like to recommend you the technique for setting goals, which is used in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and which is called “Outcome Frame”. That is great tool whenever you want to achieve something.

  7. KS Chen says:

Hi Onibalusi! Yes, i will prove to my friends that blogging can make money and help out others that need. Thanks for making me more confident to try my best to achieve my goal.

    • Hi Kok,

That will really be great :)

Thanks a lot for the nice comment,

  8. Hi Oni,
Thanks for this post. I remembered when i first started my blog, my friends were telling me that am wasting my time, wasting my dreams but right now, I need to Prove to them that” I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING”…Thanks for sharing this, atleast you have already encourage me to work hard!…

    • Hi Valentine,

That is really great, I am very happy to encourage people :)

Thanks a lot for the nice comment,
      -Onibalusi

  9. Steve says:

Nice work, I think a big part of success is choosing who you listen to. Listen to those who are positive and encourage you, ignore those who don’t. I’ll be listening to you!

    • Hi Steve,

      Exactly! You are absolutely right.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment,
      -Onibalusi

  10. You got just right there. Know what you’re doing and prove it. No one will believe you except you can prove that you believe in yourself. When you know what you’re doing then getting to where you’re going will be fun indeed.

    Thanks for the motivation!

    • Hi Chadrack,

      Exactly! You are absolutely right.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment,
      -Onibalusi

  11. My mom should read this. Everyday she wakes me up very early. As u say we should not keep on thinking about people who discourage us and think how to prove ourselves to them. Proving them is not our lives motive. Just decide your path and give ur best. If you take all the discouraging words and become emotional you cant give ur best. Listen to the right kind of persons and get better.

    • Yeah Mukundan!

      That is great.

And as you said, GIVE YOUR BEST

Thanks a lot for the nice comment,
      -Onibalusi

  12. Michele says:

Awesome insight here Onibalusi! You are a youngprepro with an old soul ;-) It takes a lot to tap into conversations such as these and being able to express them successful…you do a great job at it!

You definitely right about “It is very important to believe in yourself first. If you don’t believe in yourself, then you are a failure already.”

It difficult when you are doing something new and others may not understand it, but it’s the wholehearted belief in yourself that keeps you moving forward. It’s whats going to drive you and continue to work until you start seeing the results of your hardwork.

    Thanks for sharing!

    • Hi Michele,

Yeah! You are right :) I believe you might not be successful without being motivated which is why i wrote this post, and not to lie, most of the time it is posts like this that comes to my mind (and I do try my best not to write them on this blog because this is not a personal development blog – I will be going into that niche soon).

You definitely right about “It is very important to believe in yourself first. If you don’t believe in yourself, then you are a failure already.”, Exactly, if you don’t believe in yourself then you are far from being successful.

Thanks so much for the nice comment,
      -Onibalusi

  13. Yes that’s true. In any endeavors that we go through Passion is very important. Without it we will not achieve anything. I also avoid people who says “You can’t do it.” that person has no idea what I’m capable of doing.

We can do it guys and we know what we are doing.

    Great post Onibalusi.
    Emman

    • Hi Emman,

      Yeah! Exactly.

Passion is really very important – than any other thing.

Thanks so much for the nice comment,
      -Onibalusi

  14. Ewealths says:

Sometimes, we just need to do a reassessment of ourselves and though it may be very hard to admit that we are wrong but for the sake of not going wrong too far, we can just make a 180 degree turn and start to go in the right direction, am definitely taking a look into my business model and trying to make some adjustment.
And to prove to others that you know what you are doing, just get result and many would desire to come and learn from you!

  15. James says:

Good stuff, as Winston Churchill said “if you don;t believe in your self then no-one else will believe in you either”

    Jim

    • Yeah James!

Thanks so much for the nice comment, I really appreciate it.
