21 Blogs You Can’t Afford Not to Read as a Blogger

As a blogger I love reading fresh, new content everyday and even at some point I always feel bored because it seems like there is no more blog to read. Learning is a must if you want to grow, and many of these blogs will definitely be of help.

The blogs listed in this post are blogs I can never do without, and I feel like they should be writing more than 5 posts a day because their content is so great that you will always thirst for more.

Believe me, these blogs are not too much to read and I will advise you to subscribe to them all right away, the information they provide is worth its value in gold!

Some of these blogs have over 100,000 subscribers while some don’t have up to a thousand, my ranking factor is not their traffic but how great their content is. I can hardly do without any of these blogs and I am subscribed to them all.

Also, let me make it clear that I am not trying to rank all this blogs, so don’t pay attention to the order in which they are listed.

1. COPYBLOGGER

Who says your headline isn’t important? I was such a fool earlier in my blogging career and I believed content is king and nothing else. After losing a lot of traffic to bad headlines I began to realize the importance of having great headlines and copyblogger is my source of inspiration when it comes to this.

Believe me, this blog is very dangerous and you can get addicted, I am always unhappy if a day passes without this blog updated.

copyblogger

2. PROBLOGGER

Who doesn’t know the most popular blog about blogging? If you don’t know this blog then you are missing more than you should.

Darren has been blogging for years and he is one of the best bloggers out there, there is nothing as good as learning from someone who’s been there and Darren’s experience is worth its value in Gold.

problogger

3. SOCIAL MEDIA EXAMINER

If you are a blogger who doesn’t care about social media then you are not getting the hang of things, in fact, you are missing a lot.

Social media is one of the best ways to help your blog gain more attention and where else is the best place to learn it than from here? If you don’t read some Facebook tips today then you will be reading about digg tomorrow, this blog is definitely a must read.

socialmediaexaminer

4. VIPERCHILL

If you are not reading the work of this superhero then you are missing a lot, Glen doesn’t just write for its sake, he knows what he is saying.

Glen is a great example of someone living the internet lifestyle and this also reflects on his blog, reading his posts alone is enough lesson on its own.

If you are not reading about viral marketing then you will be reading about how to get traffic, tips on SEO also isn’t missing on this blog and believe me, this guy knows what he is doing.

5. SMART PASSIVE INCOME

Apart from being totally transparent Pat Flynn is a very humble and unique guy and he proves that anybody can make money online.

Pat doesn’t just write anything on his blog but his posts are as valuable as gold. He also shares his monthly income report and makes clear where they are coming from.

I’ve never seen this much transparency, Pat just started a niche site and he is already revealing his niche and how everything is going.

6. DAILY BLOG TIPS

You are probably not a blogger if you don’t know this blog. Daniel Scocco is one of the top bloggers online and his work speaks for him, he shares a lot of great tips on his blog and he also has a membership site where he teaches people how to build successful blogs.

My respect increased more for Daniel when he started his new blog on how to make a website and you will be amazed to see how the blog has grown.

7. INCOME DIARY

Almost all of you know Michael Dunlop (you’re missing a lot if you don’t!). Michael is one of the first bloggers I discovered when I just started online and my respect for him keeps increasing everyday. Michael also lives the internet lifestyle and he is a living proof that the money is in the list.

Michael has built a lot of successful blogs and you can hardly do without his blogs, he always comes up with new things every time and I have hardly seen him cover a topic twice on his blog.

9. THINK TRAFFIC

Corbett is one of my most respected bloggers online and the reason for this is what he has achieved in a short period of time.

After trying to analyze Corbett’s blog to see what he is doing to make his blog a success (because I hardly see him guest posting or promoting) I was able to trace his success to the high quality posts he provides on his blog. I find it difficult to miss any of his blog posts.

Another great thing about Corbett is that he does not depend on income from his blog but he has other solid income streams online, his main income comes from affiliate marketing and he has a course dedicated for beginners on that.

10. BLOGUSSION

Believe me, a lot of kids are rocking the blogosphere. There is ton of knowledge to be gained from this 17-year-old boy and he also knows a lot about website design.

Alex is a talented designer and he is the one who designed the theme he is using on his blog.

Alex blogs about blogging and has been able to feature many successful bloggers on blogussion. Another great advantage of this blog is that he does not publish just any content but he publishes only unique and high quality content.

12. TECHIPEDIA

You can’t talk social media without talking Tamar Weinberg. Even though I am just a 16 year-old-kid who started blogging this year I have been able to go into history and there is hardly any great social media site that Tamar hasn’t been a power user of.

Tamar does not just post anything for the sake of filling the space but she posts high quality posts when she wants. There is a lot to be learned from this Superwoman (as she’s been called :) ) and one great thing that amazes me is how each of her posts get hundreds of retweets.

Also, she is a social media consultant so if you want solid social media help for your company she is the way to go – believe me, you will never be disappointed!

When I say kids are rocking the blogosphere, believe me, that this is nothing but the absolute truth. Just visit the blog of this 16-year-old to see the great community he has built over there. Dev’s blog is being swarmed  by guest authors and do you think they are doing that for nothing? Absolutely not! They are writing for his blog because of the great traffic he sends them.

This blog is a must if you want to read different opinions about blogging and making money online from all over the web.

technshare

15. BLOG TYRANT

I can remember clearly that I was reading a post on how to make your blog addictive like World of Warcraft on problogger when I discovered this post, unlike many other guest posts, this particular guest post was different and when I landed on this blog I wasn’t disappointed, in fact, I became a subscriber immediately and I do make sure I read all his posts.

He also does not have a fixed posting schedule but when he posts you will know that something great is coming out.

blogtyrant

16. MAXBLOGPRESS

There is nothing I can say that can describe this blog, it is just full of value.

Unlike many blogs this blog does not have a permanent writer and it is the readers who are the writers, what this blog does is that it features the success stories of different bloggers from all over the world.

If you are planning to make money online, build a successful blog etc. then this blog is a must read, you don’t need to worry because you will read the success stories of the successful bloggers in their own words.

maxblogpress

17. ESCAPINGTHE9TO5

There are different types of bloggers, we have the bloggers who only wants to make a few bucks from ads (probably to pay their hosting fees and buy some drinks) and we have the entrepreneurial blogger who wants to make a living online.

Ben is a superstar young entrepreneur and has been able to gain a lot of attention from the media at quite a young age. Unlike many blogs that blog on the topic of blogging Ben has decided to make his blog more unique by blogging about entrepreneurship and social media.

getinthehotspot

20. KIKOLANI

If you want to know a great deal about social media then this blog is a must. There is definitely a lot to learn from this awesome woman and you will also see her guest posting every here and there.

Kristi is a woman who can be compared with men because she knows a great deal about blogging (I mean blogging in general), even that which men don’t know. When I am talking of blogging I am not just talking about writing a blog post but I am talking about SEO, theme customization and everything.

She is also known for “fetching friday” where she links to all the awesome posts she’s read that week. This blog is definitely a must read!

kikolani

21. ITTYBIZ

I have a solid memory and I can remember how and where I found all the bloggers on this list :) . I found Naomi’s blog through copyblogger’s twitter stream and since then I’ve been a fan of her work (cos I loved what I saw).

If you’re looking towards being unique and different then this is the ultimate source, Naomi is so unique and different on her blog that she’s been able to build a loyal following who crave after her posts. Another great thing about Naomi is that she writes from her heart, and forget it, she’s not biased with her posts (at least from what I’ve been reading).

ittybiz

Yeah…

Yeah! All this blogs are great but you know you are also making a great mistake if you are not reading YoungPrePro :) and in case you have forgotten (I know many of us are busy nowadays) you can subscribe to this blog so that you will never miss an update. You can also follow me on twitter @dataentryforall

Conclusion

I didn’t compile this list for the purpose of you picking your best, all of these blogs are worth their value in gold. Just as your blog posts headlines are important, copyblogger is a must and as long as you want to build a successful blog you must read problogger – that is exactly how important all the blogs on this list are, they contribute to an important aspect of your blog’s success.

Also, if you know me you will know that I am a master of unsatisfaction and even with subscribing to and reading all these blogs I am still not satisfied, I am always wanting to read more great posts. I also know that there is no how I can compile a list like this without missing out your favorite blogger. Feel free to share with us any great blog that is missing in this list and I (and many others reading this) will visit and subscribe – if what we find is good.

Also, don’t forget to share this post on your favorite social networking and bookmarking sites.
