I once wrote a post on one lesson the holy spirit taught me about blogging, but I know many people might not really get a thing clearly until they are told several times.
This is not a personal development blog and it is not strictly about making money online or internet marketing, if that is only what you want, I give you the chance to stop reading this blog today because I don’t even care if I lose some number of visitors (just as I have been doing), because of this single lesson i learned.
The main goal of this blog is to impact lives, both that of young entrepreneurs and adults, anybody who wants a change in his or her life. This blog is not for everybody, I only want serious people, those that are ready for a change, those that are ready to go with the momentum and NOT just those that are reading because others are.
I hate failure, and I don’t want to be associated with failure which is why I can assure you that if you could do anything you read on this blog, you can never remain a failure.
Some months ago (I think 2), I was blogging and blogging and behold my traffic was increasing every day. It all started from about 100, to 200, to 300 and like a dream 400. I am not talking about ordinary visitors, I am talking about unique visitors and I am not using some stupid stats program that will give you false data. If I keep going like this, then in no time I will be a problogger.
I was so foolish to the extent of not realizing how favored I was. Not everything is natural, and there is a force between almost everything we do in life. You believe it is normal to reap the fruits of hardwork and I will bring to your notice that those who work harder get less pay while those who sit in the office just to sign some papers get more than they need. I believe my traffic was as a result of my hardwork (afterall, I am an avid guest poster), I was wrong. Blessings only come from God. Even if you don’t believe in God, you will still learn from this post.
I was always complaining and blaming myself for not getting more traffic (I want to go to a thousand overnight). I was talking to somebody about blogging one day, I have been looking at Darren Rowse’s stats program just to notice a decrease in the thousands, I am having an increase and someone is loosing thousands. I immediately realized my mistake and since that day, my then 400 a day visitors dropped to 120 – how happy I was. I learned my lesson the hard way… you thought I will cry? No. I didn’t, because I knew I had been making a big mistake all this while, I started thanking God and now I am back to over 200 uniques a day.
In anything you do, give thanks and if you don’t believe God (which I would never advice – It is disastrous), just be happy with whatever you do.
You will notice I said in the beginning, you will notice I said I don’t care if I lose some visitors because of this post, I really mean it. It has happened before, I have lost hundreds and I am still happy, I am looking more fresh, more healthier even when I am spending an average of 10 hours on the computer very single day. The secret is be happy with whatever you do, you will notice a change in your health, your productivity, your work and even your success. I am always more happy than I have ever been since I learned this lesson and I know you will too if you can implement it.
I know I preached personal development today, as long as it helps you, and you keep succeeding, then I am happy.
Know one thing for sure, I am not successful if you are not and that is why I have this blog – for you, not for me.

Wow that’s unfortunate that your visitor count dropped so much, but everything happens for a reason! Better you learn it from a 400 to 120 drop than a 10,000 to 2,000 drop

I think that it’s brave that you are open about your beliefs, although many think that God is an outdated idea. I especially think that it’s brave, because this site isn’t about faith.

I do agree with you that traffic sometimes matter but it is not all we need on this world. The most important thing we need is happiness for what we have done and for what we have made others happy.
MMO is sometimes nothing and happiness can not be bought by money. I feel more happy after reading your passionate post and learned a lot too even I have just had a serious accident and not fully recovered.
