How to Get Lucrative Freelance Writing Gigs — No Matter Where You Live

desert-roadThis is a guest post by Carol Tice.

Carol is a successful writer who teaches The Freelance Writers Blast Off Class for Newbies with Linda Formichelli. I’m also proud to be an affiliate for Carol’s and Linda’s class, and I recommend that you check it out!

Do you feel like you live in a writer-pay desert? I hear this complaint from freelance writers a lot. Some typical comments:

“I live in a small town where there are few opportunities.

“My area is economically depressed, so rates are very low.

“There are no big businesses nearby, so there aren’t any good gigs.

“I’m not in the United States, and there’s no good pay here.

“My English isn’t that good, so I can’t earn well.

“All the writing jobs on the Internet pay $5 an article now. I can’t find anything better.”

Think you can’t find good-paying work as a writer where you live?

I think you’re wrong.

So instead of the “resolution post” I’ve decided to write a “survival post.” Not only for you, but for myself as well. From all people I’m probably one who really needs some serious survival guidance. Here goes, the 7 lucky steps of survival for bloggers – 2012 edition.

Five Mistakes That Make Your Article Marketing Campaigns Fail

This is a guest post by Sylviane

I have been writing online since 2006.  Since then, I’ve written over 2000 articles (lost track) and that doesn’t include my blog posts.  I have also written a handful of writing tutorials and I answer a lot of writing questions on a regular basis through forums, emails and especially WA tutorial where I am one of the article marketing “experts”.

During the few years that I have been answering questions about article marketing I found myself being able to gather all those questions into five main categories.  Among such categories I found five recurring mistakes that people are making and which make them fail with their article marketing campaigns.
